December/January Meetings

In December we had elections (I was unable to attend the meeting but was re-elected vice president...thank you all so much). Chad Arment stepped down as president to allow some "fresh blood" into the office. Roy Mellot was elected in his place. Retaining the position of Secretary was Brian Fischer and Treasurer remains Kathy Tyson.

On Friday, January 16th the herp society had its first meeting of the new year. This was a member's night but it was a little to chilly to bring an animal (I think it was around 4 degrees F). Anyway we did see plenty of animals as Zach Barton presented pics of his collection, which was much bigger than I thought and I don't know how he does it! He also brought his "Very mellow" Black Pine snake Pituophis melanoleucus to show off. Jesse Rothacker also brought an animal for show, an American alligator Alligator mississippiensis! Anytime someone sees an alligator it's impressive and this was no exception. 

We are all looking forward to seeing where Roy leads the club. February will be here before you know it.
