This summer went pretty smoothly for the society.
In June we had a member's night during which the member's of the club had their opportunity to shine and show off some of the gems from their collection!
July was a really exciting month as we welcomed renowned herpetologist Dr. Carl Ernst. Carl has published many books including the one pictured above. He gave a wonderful talk concerning some of his work on Copperheads (Agkistodon contortrix). It would be nice to have Carl talk again (hint hint).
In August we had Greg Feaster a nearby breeder of many interesting species including rat snakes, Pituophis, and others. Like Demian Lewis, it was interesting to hear a hobbyist talk about captive herps. Hobbyists have different perspectives and insights into herps that naturalists often time lack.
